Island Fever #3 (Digital Playground)

Island Fever #3 is exactly what you want it to be (unless you want it to have real sound). If you were a fan of Island Fevers 1 and 2 (and you probably were) and are returning to the fabled tropical wonderland for more of the same, you will not be disappointed. All the technical wizardry is here, enhanced by two years of technological development and the learning curve that goes with it, two years of directorial experience, two years of thinking about how to make the new Island Fever sexier than the last one. Digital Playground was into hi-def cameras and production long before anyone else, and IF 3 is pretty much state-of-the-art. On top of that, it was filmed on location in Bora Bora and Tahiti, two of the world's most elaborately fabled tropical paradises; even if you've never had the opportunity to visit the South Pacific, the visuals are stunning -- you'll certainly appreciate the filmmaker's art in the lush greenery, crashing waves, and soaring vistas.

You will also certainly appreciate the female stars -- Jesses Jane, Devon, and Tera Patrick. You have been appreciating them for a long time already, and the juxtaposition of these three beauties -- and we will assume for the moment that you like this style of girl, halfway between a Barbie Doll and a Real doll -- will certainly be a thrill. Each of them fills a niche, in her own way -- Tera Patrick is a mostly natural beauty, a brunette with natural-looking tits and a fine ass, and Jesse Jane is the perfect sex construct -- blonde, buxom, plumped, toned, and made entirely of hot parts; Devon falls somewhere in between, blonde and obviously not natural, but still fresh-faced and sort of girl-next-door-ish. Evan Stone, Barrett Blade, and Eric Masterson put in good performances, although it's funny to see Blade and Masterson in the lush and luxurious settings -- they both strike me as essentially urban creatures, whereas Stone, with his over-the-top Fabio-esque look, makes for a perfect romantic outdoorsman.

Devon and Jesse Jane start off the movie with a hot two-blonde wrangle on a seashore, followed by some tease from Devon and a tryst with Evan Stone on a mountainside. Tera Patrick's only scene comes next, a hazy, dreamy turn on a blanket in the middle of a shimmering playa with Barrett Blade (also Blade's only appearance). Eric Masterson makes his first appearance in the next scene with Jesse Jane, up to their knees in a placid sub littoral swell and making the best of the gentle waves, mostly in standing positions. Eric takes on Devon next, another quiet tryst in a lagoon, this one hemmed in with foliage and more sheltered than the last; their final scenes are intercut with Evan and Jesse's followup, a picturesque romp at the base of a crashing waterfall, both of them with hair flying in the breeze, looking like nothing so much as Tarzan and Jane gone wild. The two scenes intertwine and mingle, passionate roiling water and quiet lagoon surface, with both girls looking pretty great.

As stated before, if you liked the previous incarnations of Island Fever, you're going to like this one too -- almost everything that you liked from the first two has been improved on, and the things that were weak -- most notably the music -- has been shored up; the only complaint one can raise about it is that there is maybe not quite enough Tera Patrick in it, but that's really quibbling when there's so much else to look at and enjoy.
